How to earn it

  1. Open Valley Bank All Access Checking online, as a new customer.
  2. Fund the account with at least $100 when you open it.
  3. Receive direct deposits totaling $500 or more within 60 days.
  4. Keep the account open for at least 120 days.
  5. Wait for the bank to pay the bonus. Its terms say when it pays once you meet the requirements.

Day counts follow the bank's terms, which say when each period starts.

Payments that count differ by bank: what counts as a direct deposit.

When the bank pays. Valley credits the $100 within 30 days after two things are true: the direct deposit requirement is met and the account has been open for 120 days.

Receive at least $500 in qualifying direct deposits within 60 days: recurring pay, a pension or government benefits such as Social Security, sent by the payer to your account and routing numbers. Transfers, Zelle, online or mobile deposits and deposits at a branch or ATM do not count.

Account holders must be 18 or older with no other Valley personal checking account in the year before opening, and Valley employees are excluded. The $15 fee applies in any statement cycle when the balance falls below $500 on any day, unless the account receives $250 or more in qualifying direct deposits that cycle.

The terms name no state limit, and the online application asks for no state before you start, but no Valley page says every state can open online.
