The offer in one paragraph
Wells Fargo pays $500 when you open Wells Fargo Everyday Checking as a new customer. To earn it, receive $1,000 in direct deposits within 90 days. The account charges $15 a month, and the bank publishes ways to avoid the fee. Its terms name no state limit, and the bank decides at application. The bank shows October 6, 2026 as the last day.

How to earn it
- Open Wells Fargo Everyday Checking online or at a branch, as a new customer.
- The offer needs a code from the bank that we do not list. Start from the bank's offer page, linked below, and follow its instructions for the code.
- Fund the account with at least $25 when you open it.
- Receive direct deposits totaling $1,000 or more within 90 days.
- Wait for the bank to pay the bonus. Its terms say when it pays once you meet the requirements.
Day counts follow the bank's terms, which say when each period starts.
Payments that count differ by bank: what counts as a direct deposit.
When the bank pays. Wells Fargo deposits the bonus within 30 days after you meet the requirements.
Wells Fargo counts more than payroll: direct deposits over ACH, instant payments over the RTP network or FedNow, and payments pushed to the debit card over the Visa or Mastercard networks all qualify. Transfers between accounts, mobile deposits, Zelle and deposits at a branch or ATM do not.
Customers who received a Wells Fargo consumer checking bonus in the last 12 months are excluded, as are employees and Private Bank accounts, and only the primary owner can earn it. Online, the offer opens Everyday Checking only; in a branch the code works for other eligible consumer checking accounts.
The $15 fee is waived with $500 in qualifying electronic deposits, a $1,500 minimum daily balance or $5,000 in deposits and investments, among other ways.
