The offer in one paragraph
Chase pays up to $900 when you open Chase Total Checking as a new customer. The $300 tier asks you to receive a direct deposit within 90 days. The $900 tier asks you to receive a direct deposit within 90 days, and deposit $15,000 and keep it there for 90 days. On the cash it asks you to park, the $900 bonus works out to an annual rate of 24.33%. The account charges $15 a month, and the bank publishes ways to avoid the fee. Its terms name no state limit, and the bank decides at application. The bank shows January 27, 2027 as the last day.
Do not add these together
The $900 tier includes the Chase Savings bonus.

How to earn it
- Open Chase Total Checking online or at a branch, as a new customer.
- Use the offer code NC46279 when you apply.
- Receive a direct deposit into the account within 90 days. The terms publish no minimum amount.
- For the $900 tier, deposit $15,000 or more.
- For the $900 tier, keep that money in the account for 90 days, the hold period as the bank states it.
- Wait for the bank to pay the bonus. Its terms say when it pays once you meet the requirements.
Day counts follow the bank's terms, which say when each period starts.
Payments that count differ by bank: what counts as a direct deposit.
When the bank pays. Chase pays within 15 days after you complete the checking requirements.
One direct deposit is enough, and the terms set no minimum amount. It has to be an electronic deposit of pay, a pension or government benefits such as Social Security, from an employer or a government payer. Zelle and other person to person payments do not count.
The $900 tier is this $300, the Chase Savings $200 bonus and an extra $400. Chase pays it when you open both accounts at the same time and meet both sets of requirements, $15,000 in new money held in savings for 90 days included.
Existing Chase checking customers are excluded, and so is anyone with a Chase account closed within 90 days or closed with a negative balance in the last 3 years. Chase pays one new checking bonus every two years, counted from the last enrollment. The $15 fee is waived with $500 a month in qualifying electronic deposits or a $1,500 balance at the start of each day, among other ways.
